Can't enter boss room in Tombs of Giants, pls get me outta there

Hello friends!

I have a very specific question: I found the second bonfire in the tomb of giants and managed to fight my way down to what seems to be the boss room, only that the nebula is orange instead of white. It tells me it's protected by Gwyn (paraphrasing), I can't open the nebula gate. Is this it? I have to come back later to beat the area's boss? After I "defeat" Gwyn (or whatever)? That's p bad. I spent a couple of hours in those tombs and prior to that in the catacombs ffs. Also, how the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to get out of that area? I entered it by sliding down a number of what seemed to be coffins? Can't go back, there. You don't need to tell me precisely where to go imho, just let me know if I'm actually stuck forever in these tombs or if there's an actual way out without having to use the orange nebula door.

Unfortunately, you will have to backtrack the whole way. That yellow door will dissipate at a point in the game, but not now. :)

yeah you can't pass the orange fog gate yet, but you're not stuck... there's a way to get back out by foot. It's not really obvious, but you should find it if you explore thoroughly. Good luck...

Oh, ffs, that's terrible. ♥♥♥♥ that. The area is available from the get-go, I decided to enter it after ringing the second bell and 30 hours of playtime and the game never bothered telling me that this isn't a good idea? What a joke. But like I said: I slided down from the catacombs, I can't slide back up, so I can't exactly backtrack the whole way.

I wonder how humans get up somewhere, except for elevators. :D

Also... in about a week, when you'll know the game better, you'll know that some players may have an interest in doing what you did, and go early in the Catacombs. ^__^
