Is Lightning Spear Good!? (PvE)

I think lightning spear is an excellent miracle. Aside from the damage, smashing electricity into an enemy's face is fxxxing bada$$ ! :D

Lightning spear, and Great Lightning spear are great PvE miracles. The way you throw it allows you to throw it around a corner, it hits hard, and Mobs don't dodge.

Of course you'll want to spec Faith for it, but it's pretty worth it, along with a lot of the other Miracles. WOG clears out every mob within a 10ft radius of you (Ghost House anyone?), Great Magic Barrier makes 4Kings a joke, Great Gravelord Dance just hits really hard. Great Heal can heal you to full even from 1hp at 40 VIT, and Darkmoon blade on Ricards rapier? Beautiful.

In my opinion Lightning Spears DMG isn't good enough for the rate of fire it has

Generally the lightning spears are good against mobs. Very few have rezistance to lightning.

Against bosses however I would recommend getting WotG and the Sunspear. Help someone with Gwyn, then ask them to give you Gwyn's soul.

I would also recommend getting at least 3 ATT.



As for talismans, you need to be a cop for a while, either kill 10 crowmen in the Painted World of Ariamis or actually PvP 10 times, and get the Dark Moon Talisman.

EDIT: I forgot about rings: always use the Ring of the Firstborn. Always.
