Covenants, well try them all, why not?
But not forget to take resolution from that guy in church BEFORE switching.
That dont matter to your current Way of White covenant, they tolerate treason.
Don't spoil, though.
But yes, try Way of White first, it literally offers you nothing besides very early access to some miracles that you can buy later on anyway however. But then again, there is no penalty for leaving and rejoining Way of White either. It's always a nice home to go back to if you choose to defect from other covenants.
As for everything else, just try one by one. There are 3 PvE convenants, 5 PvE and 1 that's a mix of both. Total is 9.
Chaos Servant - fur PvE with Attunement 12+
Path of The Dragon - dunno Dragon Flame scale of stats. looks nice
Either is just too narrow.
But for PvP most useful were Blade of Darkmoon because of Darkmoon Blade weapon buff, strongest in whole game. Somewhere near comes Sunlight Blade weapon buff which you get from Warrior of Sunlight covenant. And this miracle stays with you even after treason, but Darkmoon Blade miracle don't. You must be member to use it.
