How do you beat the sentinels in anor londo?

I get one down to half health over and over but they'll just keep fking healing. I beat them once or twice by summoning whats-his-face. I dont want to do that for them though because I want to wait to summon him for the actual boss fight. Is there some way of canceling their heals that im not aware of?

Im using an Estoc its up to Lightning +3 and I dont think there are any more titanite slabs (I believe thats what i need) until I get a bit farther.

There Is A Way To Beat Them One By One Kill The Archer First And Then Run Down The Stairs Where Solaire Summon Sign Should Be And Jump And Keep Running To The End Of The Hallway Only One Will Follow You Kill Him Quick And Go To The Other One And Beat Him And That's It......Easy :D

You can lure and defeat him one by one. Otherwise, you can just run straight past them to get to the fog door.
Defeating a sentinels is straightforward. You lure, you wait him for attack, block/dodge, flank him, hit twice, ready for his attack again. It depends on your build. Actually, since I got dragonslayer bow (and buy the arrow in giant blacksmith there), I just snipe one of them. The other one I kill using melee tactic, then I summon solaire.

Maybe using anything else than lightning damage? its anor londo, land of the Lord of Sunlight, creator of lightning.. i am sure Fire, or Magic (int or faith scale) will deal more damage than lightning, but its just a suggestion...

I probably could it would probably require a lot of running around to get all the titanite needed. Well at least I now know i can get to them and how to take out smaugh first. Ornstein after going super saiyan game me a lot of trouble

yea or just upgrading any weapon to +10 then +15, only physical damage output is good vs giant..
Splited damage is kinda ♥♥♥♥, if your weapon is a low damage based, its lead to low physical ( we talk about estoc, low physical damage output) + low lightning (ligthning damage are based on the weapon physical damage) iam sorry to say that.. but estoc is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for pve... maybe you saw this on a youtube video where a guys explain estoc is Da ultimate gear of war... but its just One dude oppinion.. estoc is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for damage output...i really suggest you to change weapon, if you cant stand to deal low damage to your ennemies.

Estoc is cool weapon but imho difficult to handle...needs practise for landing thrusting hits, slashing with katana/straightsword/halberd/balder side sword and so on is easier.
base dmg also not very high, splitting it with lightning is.... ok but don't expect a lot of dmg

It wasnt just one guy, I looked up a bunch of posts of people asking what the best dex scaling weapon was and the estoc was mentioned a lot, plus its available almost right away.

Im also using it in dark souls 2, but ill probably try a different type of weapon when i get to dark souls 3, although it'll probably still pick a dexterity scaling one

that's what is so cool about that game: don't look for dmg only - check moveset, reach, speed too.
Btw: with lightning path - where's your dex scaling now?
