Seath wont drop the moonlight greatsword

I have been hitting his tail the entire fight, i broke the crystal too, i relogged because i didnt want to kill him before getting the sword.
I did this 3 times, no sword.
Still havent killed him.
Help?

Make sure you hit towards the tip of the tail away from him.

The middle, big tail is the one you need to hit, and you must hit near the tip. Hitting the base of the tail does body damage. If you do more than 1.5 bars of health in damage to his tail (out of 13 bars of health total) and it doesn't cut, then you are hitting to far up the tail/not close enough to the tip.

Can't believe you are hitting his schlong thinking it's his tail. If you continue to do that he's going to be Seath, the Schlongless

Also, Seath tends to turn towards you, so you might find it difficult getting to the tip of his tail. Try waiting near the crystal and when he's close, smash it. This stuns him for a while which will give you time to cut off his tail.

hit the middle tail and the tip, half of tail is coindered his body :)

Stand next to the crystal. Let him approach. When he winds up to attack, sprint to his actual tail. He'll break the crystal himself and be stunned. Assuming you can do enough damage quick enough, it should be enough time to get the cut.
