How to cut seath's tail?

Run to the Crystal and break it, if you are fast enough Seath is facing away from you. Also, only hit the tip.

You have to beat at the very tip of his tail. There's 830 hp of tail,as I remember.

Stack curse resist, break the Crystal, always charge around him towards the tentacle behind him/his back, smack it.

Worked like a charm for me last time.

If you are pure caster, try something like Drakesword or make quick Raw weapon.

Its harder the lower your HP/Stamina pool but its very well doable with curse resist stacking.
You might even beable to finish him off afterwards due to high curse resistance (dingy set/xanthous (helm)/blood shield and such).

The tricky part is that, whenever you go to his tail, he will turn around and face you again. You should wait to his FRONTAL crystal breath, run behind him from afar, and WAIT until he starts slamming the ground with his tails. When he stops, approach the tail and hit one or two times. Repeat.
When he do his semicircle crystal breath, you should stay far and wait until he does his frontal attack. Use a two hand sword like a claymore, black knight sword or even the halberd. I never tried blunt weapons, but I heard somewhere that those weapons dont cut out tails.

It cant be done alone. Ever played final fantasy 4? The dragon tails in dark souls are rainbow pudding. You are going to be here a loonng time A LLOOONNNGGGG TIME! Unless you have some one to help you and everytime someone says I got it easy is saying I got rainbow pudding first try ALL LIES! What you need to ask is why is noone available for summoning in dark souls?!

I just did it yesterday and last sunday. One in NG and other one in NG+. Is annoying, but not impossible. Check what I posted, just worked for me.

I've never gotten them my self I'll admit I was just blowing off some steam. However I do really think that the only way is to have help to keep his agro same as kalameet.

I got the tail on third try. Have light armor for maximum movespeed and attack after the crystal breaks/ after he does a big attack so that he stands still for a while. I used the Zweihander. Not ideal, but it has a good cutting animation with good range. And Seith is so slow that he cant cach you despite the attack lagg.

Seith is one of the easiest bosses in the game, so getting the tail is the only real challenge.
