[SOLVED] Cannot upgrade weapon past +5, help please!

So my weapon is the Ucigatana +5 which I used titanite shards to upgrade it (as per normal), using Andre the blacksmith, I have been into the depths and aquired the Large Ember in the chest next to the butcher and given it to Andre. I have a Large titanite shard in my inventory but when I go to Andre to upgrade it to +6 (and above), my Uchigatana does not even apear on the list, having tried to look it up I can't see what I'm missing as I have the Large Ember and given it to him and I have the Large titanite shards. Any help please?!

You need to use Ascend/modify Weapon or w/e the first option is called. Not Reinforce weapon. After you have ascended the weapon, it will be back in the reinforce list for upgrading upto +10.

Thanks, is that the same when going above 10 when i get the very large ember aswell?

Every 5 levels you will need to do a "special" upgrade.
