Frampt got mad at me for no good reason?

So I have gotten the Lordvessel from Gwynevere just like he told me to, I then woke him up from his sleep by punching him once and he was amazed that I had the Vessel

Then he ate me and disappeared down his hole and then spat me out again at Firelink Altar

There I placed the Lordvessel like I'm most certainly supposed to, but after the small cutscene I approached him and he called me a fool and can't be the chosen one

???

I never did anything wrong as far I can remember, I always paid for the sin I got for unknowingly abandoning a covenant or such and didn't do anything bad to him or NPCs either

Did I screw up now or is Mr Teef anyhow important that I would need to worry about him being gone now

Did you place the lordvessel on your own, or was the serpent present with you? he can take you down there or you can simply fall into it. if you place the lordvessel on your own, without him, he will be mad at you, because he thinks you put the lordvessel with the other serpent, kaathe. Same things goes with kaathe- now he will be mad at you/wont even appear (if you didnt beat the 4 kings yet) because he thinks you put the lordvessel with Frampt

He was there when I placed it, I didn't know you could just jump down there so I automatically had him transport me there

In the Altar he then was just dangling from the ceiling the whole time, and then as I said, I placed the Vessel and when I returned to him he was mad

hmm, so i only see two possibilities here: a bug or you hit the serpent hard enough for him to get mad at you. I really dont know how can he get mad after he transported you and you put the lordvessel under his supervision :/

I'm actually new to this Souls game actually (i.e., it's my first playthrough)

So I don't actually know who Kaathe even is yet ;w;

(What makes it even dorkier is that I started with DS3, then played DS2 and now am here with DS1)

its ok u only missed couple references its no biggie in souls games
