How many times did you die in your first playthrough?

I just finished my first playthrough. I died 274 times. Took 57 hours. How about you? How was your first go through Dark Souls?

Does it do total deaths across playthroughs?

It does total. So if you've got some NG+ progress, those deaths are in there, too. I don't think you'll be able to see your deaths per each NG.

Nice, I'm on NG++. I wish it would show per each NG, but it isn't that easy.

probably around 300 or so though, i sucked at the game but had the determination to do the same midrolling build for the whole game...

I just finished my first playthrough as well. I have 160 deaths. Well, i expected way more.. ;)

About 1 time or 2 times / new area. Adds to a lot.

I can however brag that I didn't die to the mimic trap. :D

My first character is on NG++ and it has 596 deaths. I guess I had around 300 deaths on my first playthrough, too.
I like how one of my characters has 15 deaths (not sure how far exactly this character is in the game, but I know it's NG and I killed O&S on this one). Feels good.

My "first" character is long gone, but I would wager into the 300+ area.

I wish the web site gave me more info, because I have 10 characters....and their names don't help me....I know one my characters was used for 100% achievements.

i've changed characters many times in first playthrough.
now i'm experimenting with various builds starting from a scratch - it's just cool!

I couldn't tell you as my first save got corrupted and unfixable, but I'm pretty sure I at minimum died 50+ times on O&S
