Great scythe
How much balance damage does the two-handed powerful side blows of the big scythe do? How powerful is this weapon against swapping blows against an opponent with a heavy weapon while maintaining balance?

if you mean poise drain (some call it poise damage though its separate from damage) then it drains about 30 poise for both light and heavy attacks when two-handed. idk what swapping blows are so I can't really help with that soz magoz :(

Strong and light two-handed strikes take 30 points your balance? Are you kidding? How is this possible, then how do you build with heavy armor and a scythe for aggressive play?
F u c k this game... I'd rather take the blacksmith's hammer and swing like a madman.:bloodstain2:

maybe I didn't understand cus I don't know what "balance" is but I believe you mean poise so I'll just explain that. So the way that poise basically works is that its like an invisible bar (like your stamina bar) that regenerates very quickly after not being attacked for a short period and pretty much having heavier armour increases this bar (you can see your poise on your stat screen). An Ultra-greatsword 2-handed swing with a 76 poise drain would need to land 2 hits in order to stun someone with a poise of 77.

Poise drain is different to your own poise as it doesn't affect you whatsoever but the enemy your attacking, So a lighter weapon like a scythe will have less poise drain, whereas a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sword will have more poise drain.

Usually its better to have heavy armour with heavy weapons because of that poise for you and the poise drain on the weapon since sometimes you need to tank a hit or 2 in order to get the slower swing in.

If this doesn't really make sense then could you tell me what you mean by "balance" and the other terms?

Yea,its a poise, so daddy in giant armor with a big scythe-this is a bad build for pvp, becausegreat scythe is difficult to stun it quickly, so you need to play at a distance and passive-this is sad. All things being equal, Daddy wins with the giant blacksmith's hammer. But he is disgusting for walkthrough dls and exchanging blows with Oroboro.

for pvp usually sorcery or pyromancy is best I heard. The great scythe overall isn't a *great* weapon except for the bleed damage, but there are far better weapons at doing that at that point in the game. you don't exactly have to have a high poise drain weapon like an Ultra-Greatsword because sometimes your against lighter enemies in PVP and poise drain won't do much there.
