F u c k this game... I'd rather take the blacksmith's hammer and swing like a madman.
Poise drain is different to your own poise as it doesn't affect you whatsoever but the enemy your attacking, So a lighter weapon like a scythe will have less poise drain, whereas a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sword will have more poise drain.
Usually its better to have heavy armour with heavy weapons because of that poise for you and the poise drain on the weapon since sometimes you need to tank a hit or 2 in order to get the slower swing in.
If this doesn't really make sense then could you tell me what you mean by "balance" and the other terms?
