Have you ever experienced bug with Silver Pendant?

I cast the repellant aura while Manus attacks with his black magic. Usually cast it 2 times in a row. I never had a problem. It negated all 3 types of his magic attacks. But with my current character, that one type of magic attack when the black orbs surround you and approach from all directions always hits me despite the aura. I'm totally positive, that the aura is still active, but they still hurt me. Any idea why?

It's not worth using, continuously swapping between the pendant and estus will get you killed. All of Manus' dark attacks are very well telegraphed and 100% consistently dodgeable, like any other attack. I recommend you learn to recognize and dodge them, it's a lot more reliable than messing with that pendant.

I never had a problem with using the pendant. It was reliable for me. And fun too. But now it just stopped working for that one type of his magic attack.
How can you dodge that attack I described in the title though? Where should I roll?

As soon as you see raise his catalyst to slam it into the ground, you run up to him. The orbs do not damage you while standing right next to Manus. This is also a few free hits on him as these attacks have quite a long recovery, and while you're there, you can whack away at him.
