Small visual improvements (Dark Souls Remastered)

Small comparison that I made for the people that are interested in the Remastered version.

thanks for this.. it's a little but nice improvements. I am fine with this. I don't want to much change...
But... they should have put some ambient occlusion..
I tested the ps4 network test. And it's the first thing I thought.. Where is durante's AO ?... :)

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the fog gates. They look kinda awkward and less natural than before. The improvement on the Armor of Favor is massive. Looks great.

Not really improvements. More like some assets are completely different, whilst others are too bright compared to the original version. Also, that was the network test version from the consoles. Let's wait before we make any comparisons.

Right now, the most important improvements we want to see is performance and netcode improvements. If the remaster runs worse than the original version then it goes into the garbage bin.

i dont know what ppl think when they hear remastered.
theres not supposed to be a major difference.
such as DS2 and DS2 SotFS werent that different.

what we get wil be a native resolution up to 4K (as far as Ive heard) and 60 fps.
slightly better visuals might be there as well.

thats it!

its not a different game, its not a remake, its simply a newer version for more powerful machines (this gen consoles and of course PC).

The full price for consoles are about £29.99.

Ofcourse the majority are gonna buy it, but it doesn't change the fact that they downgraded the graphics compared to the original with DSfix

the art style was downgraded, not saying there are no points where the remaster doesn't look better, but from what I see the majority is worse.

Seeing it by a technical point, the graphics are highly improved, if you like it or not, that's a completely different story.

Was brightness cranked up to max? Because I saw a video where they said that most people had to crank it up to max to see anything.

Also a lot of images in the first post shows textures that has been improved.

The major difference between the two picture is the dsfix ambient occlusion in the original game.
In the remaster there is no AO (like the original without dsfix).
The remaster with some AO tweak (dsfix or nvidia hbao+) will be a little better.
