Dark Souls Remaster coming to PC because ...

.. it's probably the reason why Dark Souls 1 hasn't been on Sale this entire year - they will probably give the remaster to owners of Dark Souls 1 at a discount rate, so no point in giving a discount to Dark Souls 1 as well .. what do you guys think ?

Also, does anyone know if Dark Souls 1 has been on sale for consoles this year ?

It's a solid theory my cynical friend ! Lack of sales means don't give discounts .. that does not make sense. By this time last year, DS1 had 3 sales on Steam already.

Just think about it .. another 1000+ hrs to sink into a game !

What is this, fifth topic like that?

Everyone's waiting for a sale to buy it, issue is Fromsoft isn't exactly in a bad place with money right now since both Bloodborne and DS3 sold very well on all accounts. So there's no reason for them to pander to thirsty gamers and agree to a DS1 sale when the game's well worth its full price.

Miyazaki's words about producing Dark Souls content might not be entirely what the company is planning RIGHT NOW, but it makes me think we'll wait a couple of years for anything related to the franchise itself even if Fromsoft is bound to pump out a soulslike sooner rather than later.

Long story short, I have zero hype for the rumoured remake/remaster of DS. I will believe it when I see it, and I will be interested in buying it when I know the very few genuinely bad parts of DS1 have indeed been fixed/remade.

If it will be anything like DS3, it will already be a bad game in my eyes. DS1 is a good RPG, DS3 is hack & slash with RPG elements.

While i'd spend the 20 euro's on a game like this. People wont do that for a half broken PC port that needs outside source modding to make it somewhat more playable.

dont count on it you may see a port to the nintendo switch but i doubt it will be remasterd
