Quelagg is easy to chesse with ranged attacks, particularly bows to her human body will stun her, and the summon is extrodinarily tanky.
On bell garygoyle and the golem the summons can all but solo the bosses.
Gapping is 100% optional thought capra is required if you want wotg.
It's a paradise for both leveling up and upgrading your equipment, though. Yeah, if you're used to it, you don't need to grind, but if you face the boss there for the first time the higher stats can really help.
Anor is amazing for leveling. Parry the silver knights. Bonfire. Repeat.
You can get the Dingy Set before either Gargoyles and/or Quelaag. You grab 2 specific Fire Keeper souls and bam she's ded. Although, going for the MOST optimized light armor in the game to beat arguably one of the easiest bosses in the game is something I wouldn't recommend over the first comment in the thread. Ninja Set is also poor defense - the chest piece is light, which is its primary advantage. Tattered Cloth set at +3 I believe is better in all respects(fire, poison, physical)
