xbox360 controller problem
Hi all! Long time souls lover, returning for another venture in DS1. I just got the game re-installed and modded, but the xbox controller joystick is not allowing me to run (I always move at a walk pace) even when clicking the (b) dash button.

I've installed the dsfix and the nexus mod "Dark Souls Overhaul Project." I also have "HD Player Messages" and "Wulf's Dark Souls Connectivity Mod." Could it be that the mods aren't playing nicely or is there another simple fix in the ini files that need correction to allow the controller to work properly?

Any help is welcome and appreciated!

You didn't install "Dark Souls Overhaul Project" because it's not even a completed project, nor is it on Nexus. Did you read what any of the mods you installed did, what they were called, or follow any instructions?

The texture mod could be the root of the evils(HD player messages). Steam's controller support for Xbox controllers might be enabled which you have to turn off. It could be something to do with other thing plugged into the USB. Disable HID-compliant controller/devices in Device manager.

^ on nexus. Maybe you were thinking of something different?

Yeah, http://steamcommunity.com/app/211420/discussions/0/2592234299557374881/

Same name. The thing you installed looks honest enough, but could cause problems down the line. Anyway, there are lots of things that could case the game to not recognize the controller as "Controller". Search up the other topics in this forum "controller" "problem" etc

Fixed by disabling "HID-compliant game controller" under "Human Interface Devices" in Device Manager. Thanks for the advice!
