Jump attack and kick don't work every time

I'm not sure, if I'm doing something wrong, but the standard jump attack and kick only work in about 50% of the cases.

I play with a gamepad, press forward and R1 or R2 simultaniously, but it does not work all the time. This is very frustrating when attacking a weaker group of enemies, and getting killed by flies or zombies.

I tried different controls: First move forward, then press the button; the other way round; increase an decrease the time gap. But I cannot figure out any schematic for kicking an jumping. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Any ideas?

I had same issues with gamepads where analog stick was damaged so inputs were imprecise.

Check out if You can do it on keyboard or another gamepad.

Same with keyboard and mouse. I switched to my gamepad, because it's unplayable the classic pc way.

I learned, that there are some game mechanics that are invisible and work in the background. Is it possible, that the attacks are forbidden because of a certain trigger?

Uh nope.

I don't know where source of Your problem is so, sorry.

I have no issues with performing jump attacks or kick inputs. I'm playing on 60 fps btw.

Just keep practicing. It takes a while to get the timing down just right.
