Abyss Greatsword disappointed me

I love Artorias so I wanted his sword, but it really was a disappointment... not mention that its requirement stats are so high...
I've been using Zweihander, and likely will not change. But now I'm stuck with unused faith stats, likely I'll start over for better build...

for being the most hyped guy in the 'verse, all 3 of Art's swords are underwhelming and even kinda bad once you take into account the int/fai requirements. the shield is still awesome tho

Uncursed Sword of Artorias can end up being amongst the strongest weapons in the game, since it's the only weapon to scale off -all- of the scaling stats. NG+, with all those stats, it hits like a truck.

Cursed Sword is pretty bad, but at least it can hit ghosts.

I don't remember Abyss Greatsword being that bad. Do you have humanity at 10? It scales off humanity as well as stats.

This. Although I only used Abyss GS, I felt that the sword isn't really that useful unless you simply like that fact that it's a Artorias's sword. Move sets aren't that useful, it doesn't hit hard as Zwei, can't be buffed, in fact I feel single handed Abyss GS swings as same or slower than Zwei. Just my opinion

both 1 hand or 2 hand R2 looks sick though.

Actually artys sword is really good at high si with right stats and it has highest AR of any greatsword even tho i might b wrong i just made quick testing on mugenmonkey

Level up faith until 30, so you can at least make some use of it with miracles like lightning sword or darkmoon blade.

Nah, I'd just start over. faith seems to be unfit for me, I just can't seem to use it well.

oh yeah. that too. But can't you just use gold pine resin to get the lightining?

Need like 30/40/18/18 to get 500 damage, can't use the int to buff it with gr8 magic weapon, and it weighs almost as much as zweihander. DAMN, From is retarded sometimes.

Go for claymore instead and get more practical R2s that won't get you hornet ring backstabbed, and still be able to wear some poise.

right. R2 is really cool move against PvE, but literally useless against PvP. It's also useless against Manus too though, can't stab and range is too short.
