Eternal Pisacas Archives Music
When trapped in the prison area of the Duke's Archives,
a cutscene plays when you first escape from your cell:
a snakeman turns on a complex gramophone playing some ambient music,
which makes the pisaca enemies hostile, half of them rushing out to patrol the spiral ramp.
Anytime you die or quit/reload, the music stops, and the pisacas revert to a dormant state.

But, it turns out if you leave it on and save at the balcony bonfire,
or possibly any other besides the non-warpable prison bonfire.
it will keep playing forever!
Even if you die, or warp, or quit & reload.
It can be heard throughout most of the indoor areas of Duke's Archives,
and even outside near some of the crystal golems.

Also, if you punch the two crying pisacas or do anything else for low non-killing damage,
they stop crying and become 'neutral' npcs, and stay that way until your next death.
They will move around to get out of your way, make some 'gestures', things like that.
They cannot speak, though.

I noticed some of the things you mentioned, but not those two pisacas making gestures!
But I still leave the music on, because I like listening to it while exploring the Archives. It's a good, unsettling piece of music. Although it has more of an ambience feel than a regular composition.
