"well, I skipped Oolacile on my first playthrough" - that's the ultimate no-go in any kind of job interview or audition, that's common knowledge
From a lore/RP perspective, you have no reason but curiosity to go to Oolacile, unless you're particularly invested in Princess Dusk and the Darkroot area in general. The chosen undead was taken to Lordran to ring the bells, claim the Lordvessel, and follow in the footsteps of Lord Gwyn (right?). Messing with the trinkets of a mad lizard and investigating weird blossoms of dark in murky backwaters? No thanks, you already smashed the lizard to pieces and snorted the dust. You already walked in the Abyss and decked the blingy royal sorceror gank squad. You already... killed a puppy and a butterfly and a bunch of plants and stuff in Darkroot. Oolacile is for the undead for whom enough is never enough.
On the other hand AotA DLC is ****ing amazing, really intense bosses especially for quickroll damage avoidance, awesome scenes and atmosphere, decent sorceries, and general special stuff. It's really good. Better than the second half of the main game.
Your decision.
