Download the missing file and drop it where your game is installed. Remember, DSfix doesn't always work for people, so you can also try completely uninstalling everything, restarting WIndows, then doing a fresh install and trying the game without DSFix, first.
Well, I can play it fine even now, I was trying to mod it but I get that thing from nexus saying it's missing and I got it and put it in but it still says it's missing, I don't know maybe im doing something wrong lol, I can try and figure it out later
or rather I still can't use dark souls one nmm
although I think that is related to when I have web browser open
How do I use it?
1) Delete previous version of the mod if you have any
2) Place the contents of the .zip into the game's binary directory. (The place where DARKSOULS.exe is)
(this may be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA)
3) Adjust the settings in DSfix.ini as desired
4) Adjust the keybindings in DSfixKeys.ini as desired
IMPORTANT: turn OFF the in-game AA option, otherwise you *will* get graphical issues
See DSfixKeys.ini for a list of keybindable actions, including screenshots.
my game is also pretty choppy

So, some things about the framerate you might want to know.
If you unlock the framerate using DSFix, and play the game past 35FPS, the game's physics will break at some point. For most people, they just end up falling through ladders, but for others (like me!) you will just randomly fall through the floor and die for no reason. The game doesn't like it, so I recommend capping at 35.
The problem with DSFix, is it was made in about 5 minutes. Durante developed it further for about two years, but it still was never perfect for every user. When I was running PTDE, I didn't even use DSFix. I just played the game normally, had a slowdown here and there and it was fine. DSFix broke my game, for whatever reason.
Anyway, glad you got it to work. I hope you enjoy the game as much as we all have on these forums!
