Dark Souls Input Customizer Mod isn't working
Well, I'm running the original DS Prepare to Die here on Steam (purchased it a long time ago).
I followed the Essential Fix/Mods for Dark Souls on PC (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928278633):

* Installed the latest DSFix 2.4 - I made only changes to unlockFPS from 0 to 1; FPSthreshold from 21 to 28.

* Installed Morten242 User Interface for DSFix

* Installed PVP Watchdog

* Installed DSCM Connectivity Mod

* Installed Dark Souls Input Customizer.
Changed the dinput8dllWrapper none to dinput8dllWrapper DarkSoulsInputCustomizer.dll.
Note: I also tried the line by renaming dinput8dllWrapper to dinputdllWrapper DarkSoulsInputCustomizer.dll (eliminating the 8 in the first part).

Everything seems to work except the last mod (the Customizer).
I set the keybindings accordingly, saved it, ran DS but it doesn't take.

Any idea why or what I have to do to get it to work?

Thanks.

did you edit the dsfix. ini line for inputwrappers? where did you place the customizer files?

sajtt, I've edited the original post to include what I did with the DSFix.ini file for the Customizer mod.

Is your AntiVirus maybe blocking the .dll that comes with DSIC?

that's not all, you need to edit the inputwrapper line in dsfix. ini from its vanilla value ("none") to darksoulsinputcustomizer. dll or whatever the DSIC dll name is, check the input customizer pdf for instructions

Well, crap, i edited the original post to reflect that input wrapper adjustment -- i had done that too -- but i must not have saved the edited post. I'm on my phone now, so I'll have to wait to add it again.
I haven't tried turning off antivirus, but it hasn't been flagging me that there's an issue.

I've added the information I had made to the Customizer...this time having clicked SAVE.

post a screenshot of your dsfix (the part with the wrapper line, basically) and of your game folder

Okay, here are images of the game folder (DATA) and the Dinput section of DSFix.ini

move the dsfix files (dll, ini, )to theDATA folder of the game, don't keep them under the dsfix2.4 subfolder. the same goes for watchdog

This is the DATA folder you're looking at. Everything went into it.

the files themselves have to be there, not their general folder

Check if the DSFix wrapper is working at all.(easiest way is to set "# internal rendering resolution of the game" to very low values(e.g. 320x240), while having "# The display width/height" set as your native monitor resolution)
If graphic doesn't becomes like that on consoles, then one known solution to me(if you have nvidia gpu) is installing older drivers for videocard.

it's not working, if the dsfix files are not in DATA (the files, not a folder containing them), as in the case in the screenshot posted above, dsfix does not work

That seems to be the thing.
But either way, OP might to come with the problem that DSFix doesn't works even after he placed the files in right folder.

By the way, that's how it should look like(only dsfix installed):

Okay, I copied the contents of the DSFix folder to the DATA folder and I think it's working - man, I did what I saw the guy in the video guide do, so I don't know how that got missed.
Anyway, some of the in-game keybindings outside the menus and inventory still work: I have item use set for the Q key but the mouse wheel is still working. How do I set in-game keybindings to nothing?

Hey, thanks all! Thanks very much.
