How to defeat Manus

I can't for the life of me.
And I beat O and S.
And Artorias.
BUT I CAN'T BEAT SOME UGLY BEAST THAT USED TO BE HUMAN.
FUUUUUU.

Just give me some tips please.

Still doesn't help.
Did that in about 20 of my 40 attempts to defeat manus.

Unless you tell us what exactly you're having trouble with, the best tip is "hit him, don't get hit"
Other useful tips are to double dodge back whenever you see him roar for that 5 hit combo, and that all 3 dark magic attacks can be safely dodged/avoided in some way.

You can defeat magnus by depleting it's health, works on most bosses.

Not if you get used to the timing. He has a long windup on most of his strikes.
You're not fatrolling, are you?

He is resistant to magic and elements I think, I had the best result using a +15 weapon or crystal weapon.

Nope.
I was using a +10 weapon.
I should upgrade my Zweihander to +!5.

In the room where fog gate is, there's that tiny bridge that you cross to reach fog gate. If you look down the hole, you can actually see Manus. Just aim and shoot.

Don't do this trick. It'll rob you of actually fighting Manus properly.

Don't pay attention to his health bar as it will be a distraction, don't hit him more than once at a time, always have enough stamina to do two rolls away. Rolling through and to his side is usually the best option since you can follow up with an immediate attack. If he rears up and roars then roll away fast and wait at a distance. Dodging is down to timing practise same as the magic attacks, you can spam the amulet to make sure it blocks all magic dmg.

It may take a lot of attempts but you'll get there if you keep trying. Took me ages on my sl1 character. I removed all armour for ultra fast rolls and used red tearstone ring and power within. Any hit would kill me so may as well be really squishy but able do more damage. Being hasty or greedy for two hits will get you killed at somepoint even if you can get away with it at other times so play it patient and methodical.

if you want an easy fight without actually going through the fog wall..cheese him......if you want to cheese him stand to the right of the bridge that you have to walk on to get to the fog gate.....as i was saying stand to the right and look down....

when you see the red eyes that is manus....have a long bow at least +10 and about 600 feather arrows and start shooting...may take you about 40-60 arrows to get the right path but it takes around 400 arrows to kill him (im just guessing) to kill him.....also make sur you have the hawk ring

he is the only boss beside the capra demon i cheesed..

Full Havel's, wolf ring, ring of steel protection, a heavy hitting weapon that does pure physical damage . Also that pendant that reflects dark damage. I'm actually serious though. I admit I never "got gud" at Manus because I think his attacks are bullsh*t to dodge so I just tank him every time..

Tip: every Abyss enemy is weak to all varients of Artorias's greatsword.

other Tip: if you can upgrade to +15 do it, delaying is stupid
