What about Cyaran's Tracers?
Katanas and Curved Swords are very powerful in PvP, because of their fast movesets, so it's common seeing builds about this type of weapon; from Iaito to Quelaag Fury's Sword, but I have never seen a build about Gold Tracer and Dark Silver Tracer.
Is there anyone who tells me if these weapons are good in PvP. And, why?
A possible build could be this:

isn't it?

gold tracer builds kinda work but difficult vs. experienced players (low reach).
They're also easy to use and frequently seen...

ciaran cosplays is veryvery nice - but both tracer lose too much off-hand, so it's not very viable

silver tracer is ok for crits and great fashion but sadly not "good"

I may be wrong, since i never really gotten much into the PvP of the first Dark Souls, but isn't gold tracer top tier? I'd be surprised if there aren't a bunch of meta builds around that use it.

"top tier" is a big word...like, I have >1,5k hrs PVP and I feel comfortable playing with "meta", too, but basically this gives me understanding of how far it would be still going to "top tier"

that's from top tier pov I'd say:

after all - most of the time it's the player that matters rather than gear

edit2: lol, Jellypuff, you're right, it's in that guide, too (I forgot about that...)

A good Ciaran build would for me look a little like this:

https://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/562737

i.e. both tracers on EACH HAND.

This way you get the parry, the gold tracer r1 spam and flips necessary for classic curved sword play, along with the massive crits of the silver tracer and the awesome offhand gold tracer moveset. Also using Hornet ring effectively, which is the ring associated with Ciaran.

Oh, a note about that build - you can drop 11 points of end if you lose the gaunlets (3 poise). It's not a key poisebreak, although the rollspam, partial parries and r1spam could be nicely supplemented by the extra stamina. Your call really: only particularly relevant if you refuse to play above sl120.

Gold Tracer is very strong for bleed pressure vs mid roll builds, but that's most of the use you'll really see from it. As nomoreblues said, it's a bit short for use as a main. It is also useful as a counter pressure tool when you're on mid roll as well, though.
Dark Silver Tracer is a good crit weapon for pure dex builds, but typically a crystal Bandit Knife/Rapier will match or outperform it.
In the off hand, both are pretty pointless. Gold Tracer's unique off hand moveset is neat and flashy, and you can theoretically chain backstab with it while also building bleed by using L2. But it's also incredibly easy to punish both attacks on it. Dark Silver Tracer you lose the one good thing about it (crit damage) by off handing it.
