Should I get the remaster for PC or PS4
I didnt find a forum for the remaster so I wanted to ask if you think the game will have active PvP after the first month or so of the game being out. I got MWR on PC and it died in 2 weeks. Any thoughts?

There is already consistent pvp in PC so yeah, remaster will be pretty active IMO

Considering people who play on PC don't have to pay an additional fee for online functionality, I would say that statistically, your chance of meeting more players online will be the PC version.

Sure. But you can already play DkS with decent graphics and 60 FPS on PC, you don't need the remaster for that. So many PC players will maybe not buy it.

I'm pretty sure that unless there is some huge technical error on From's part, the game will sell just fine and will have a healthy player base.

It depends on if the Dark Souls Remaster completely ruins the online play like the MW Remaster did. Which I don't expect it will.

Ps4 will be more active.
Its always been more active for all Souls releases.

Im getting it for the Switch just cause I can.

When playing on PC, cheaters and script kiddies are a whole new issue you must take into account in the decision... Console is always cleaner.

Unless you don't care about online, keep that in mind.

People saying it won't be active on PS4 don't own the console probably. I own DS2 and BB on PS4. Both games are very active. Yesterday I played Crown of the Old Iron King, I got invaded twice, I saw multiple signs.

I'd say, if you have powerful rig get PC version for 4K etc. If you don't and you own PS4 already, get console version. :praisesun:

I’m getting it for PS4 just so I can have every Souls game on the PS consoles aha. Trophies of course too.

And with an anti-cheat most likely being implemented, having less hackers that can penalise you is also nice to have. No need to make backups or anything.

Truth is, noone here has a clue because the game isn't out yet. So wait and look how it performs. PC has no online fee, but the now 60 bucks a year for PS+ (less if you get the membership on discount, happens frequently) isn't a huge deal anyway and I highly doubt that it makes much of an impact.
PC however already has a version of the essentially same game, so people will think twice about buying it again, especially since it's apparently not much more than another DSFix. But really, just wait till it comes out.

This too, and we don't know anything about anticheat systems yet. Or do we?

PC players also tend to rabidly hate anything that isn't moddable, so that will probably play a factor into it as well

I'm getting it for both, the PC version is the definitive version of DS (there is the whole cheating thing and I guess that if you really wanted to avoid it you could just play offline, I mean if you didn't have PS+ on PS4 it would basically be the same). I'm only getting the PS4 version so that I can play with some of my PS4 friends but I will mainly be playing the PC version. As other have said cheating can affect your gameplay and is something to look of for but for the number of people that are playing the game, it looks like after 6 years you always have around 2k people playing the game everyday. I only got invaded twice in DS1 but I also feel that the whole SL thing plays a part in PVP doesn't it?
