in this game specifically, it means going through the game at a low level to obtain end game gear in order to ♥♥♥♥ up other unprepared low level players.
It's not exactly easy to do, but that doesn't really make the people who do it any less despicable
i wanted to find items on one character and give them to my next character for a playthrough.
that...doesnt make sense dude.
how at all does that compare?
Twinking dude ...Become a twink and go after low level characters ...newbies. In other words, having an unfair advantage for invasions against new players or low level players.
That's a pretty silly outlook. Anyone can do it with enough perserverance. Its a legitamite form of play. CEis a diff. story. I've never done the practice myself, but I was invaded quite a few times in DS 2 by a hexer at Heide's. I had no problem with it at all. Comparing it to getting beat up at school or the more non-violent forms of cruelty that occur related to teasing or attacks on reputation is a pretty stark mischaracterization. There is a level of sadism that takes place in those acts that really just isn't present in twinking.
Twinking is a practice that fits right into the no kid gloves atmosphere of dark souls, and I think it should always have a place at the table. It makes the game what it is.
I almost beat the guy and I was pretty proud of that, btw.
1 out of 100, I still remember on my second playthrough as sorcerer a guy invaded me in the parish and dropped 50 titanite shards and 50 large titanite shards, then rekt me in one hit.
Thank you mysterious invader.
Bullying doesn't have to resort to violence to be bullying. I don't know if you were ever bullied at school, but violence was only ONE tactic that they might use. There are other forms of harassment out there, hence why I said it's a "form of bullying."
Invaders are bullies. Sorry, but you are yet to convince me that someone who wants to come into your world and kill your character is not a bully. Sure, there is the odd outlier that comes in and wants to drop you items or something, but no. They know what they are doing. They are in it to murder your little character, and a twink that does it is the worst because newbies can't do a darned thing about it.
