Dark Souls: How to Access the DLC - Artorias of the Abyss?

So i'm sure this is a big thing still going on but i still cant figure out how to get the pendant to drop and ive done everything that ive been told to do. Kill golden golem, talk to dusk, go kill othe golem for pendant, restarted game, checked cache just incase, made sure i had prepare to die edition, ive done just about everything so please if you have any ideas for what i could do that would be appreciated.

1- Go to Darkroot Basin.
2- Kill hydra, quit and reload.
3- Go in that cave behind the hydra and kill the Golden Crystal Golem.
4- Answer yes to Dusk (to buy her Sorceries), now you can summon her near where you killed the hydra (you don't need to be human/have the area boss alive)
5- Go all the way to Anor Londo
6- Place the Lordvessel(with Frampt, Kaathe or alone)
7-Go to Duke's Archives, you'll see a Blue Crystal golem, kill him, he'll drop the broken pendant.
8- Go to where you killed the Golden Crystal Golem.
9- Go near that Black fog thing.
10- Now you're in the DLC :D

I'll try it right now but I've done this before and for some reason it won't work, the pendant just doesn't drop

Have you killed both the golden cyrstal golem and the hydra?
