Golden Crystal Golem in Darkroot Basin not spawning [Solved]

I tried reloading the game, restarting it, used humanity and still nothing.

Did you go far enough around the lake ? ,Stay close to dry land ,past the waterfall and keep going , it is quite a long ways and 2 or or 3 bends in the lake. The reason I mentioned this is because last week I forgot how far it was..........

Pretty sure you need to get the pendant from the Crystal Golem at the entrace to the grand library for the one at the lake to spawn

No, it's the other way around. Duke's golem won't drop the pendant, until the one at the hydra is dead.

both is actually wrong mate.

the golem at the archiv will always drop the penannt no matter what you did in the basin or not.

the condition for the golden golem to appear is as follows (i have done this TOO MANY times lol):

the hydra must be dead.
you must have rest at a bonfire OR restarted the game (going to title screen is enough)

BUT : if you already HAVE the pennant from the archiv golem the golden golem CANNOT spawn anymore in this playtrough. you missed your chance if the dlc entrance is already there (it wont be there until you place the lordvessel at the altar)

you must do this before you place the lordvessel as that triggers the dlc entrance to spawn. in this case your chance to meet dusk and get her set is lost for this playtrough.

so always do this before you place the vessel.

i am not sure about this but you might get another chance AFTER you defeat manus to trigger these events like before triggering the dlc.

i once forgot to kill the hydra and placed the vessel with kaathe and i couldnt find the golem either on that character no matter what i tryed.

Hey man, OP isn't commenting, we don't have certain facts or if he just overlooked something. Is he running a pirate version of the game ,etc ?

i know fully what the wiki says. still does not change the fact that IT IS possible for the golem to not spawn and this is what i did for that to happen once. it could be outdated info since i am not sure if there ever was a patch released for the pc version of this game as that was a few years ago. but it is possible for the golem to not spawn under certain conditions.

You can clearly see i got the game in my Steam library. Also i think i found out the issue.

Well it was more of my own fault rather than game issue. Turns out there was a small cave past the waterfall which was really easy to miss.
Edit: forgot to add that of first i thought the golem was next or near the waterfall

Well it was more of my own fault rather than game issue. Turns out there was a small cave past the waterfall which was really easy to miss.

I know games get glitchy, when you as I call it "get ahead of the game" like go into areas you were not supposed to be in yet, not following the devs pattern so not triggering certain mechanisms. Then there is a cool down period by shutting the game down for an hour or so and it it rights itself back in the mainframe.Excuse me ,I'm not computer savvy......Thanks again ...LATER
