So I guess that's an easter egg.
There's also Paladin Leeroy, a somewhat hidden summon in an area. As soon as you summon him he starts moving toward the boss area. Could be a WOW reference, but unlike Leeroy Jenkins this guy's actually helpful for clearing the lower area because of how aggressive everything is, and he's just tanky asf.
He may or may not have chicken.
The reason for later invading you could be that he ran out of chicken, or he suspected you were crunchin some numbers like a nerd. Who knows. Get Vaati on it!
