Chaos Bugs Before Anor Londo?

Hello, I was just wondering something for Solaire's questline. After ringing the second Bell of Awakening, I decided working on the Chaos Servant covenant. A few thousand Undead Rats later, I have managed to reach the fourth rank for it. Here's the problem.

I'm aware that by reaching rank 3, I have access a shortcut that will allow me to save Solaire later in the game by killing the red-eyed Chaos Bug. However, I have not reached Anor Londo, which I know is where Solaire is going to be next, which is way before he sets foot in Lost Izalith. Will I have to wait until I visit Solaire in Anor Londo to use the shortcut to save him, or can I acess the shortcut now and murder the Chaos Bug with no issues later?

You just need to place the Lordvessel. In fact, he moves to Centipede (as summon) and Izalith (in person) ONLY AFTER you talk to him in Anor Londo and you can put that off indefinitely.

To save Solaire you need to kill the chaos bug before you enter Lost Izalith after the Centipede fight iirc.

No, you just need to kill it before he gets there. It doesn't matter how or when you get there; only that you get there first.

exactly what I said.
you can kill the bugs whenever you want, but before you enter lost izalith the non-shortcut way. isn't that right? as soon as you enter the lava fields he disappears from the bonfire and he is right at the bugs.

If you don't talk to Solaire in Anor Londo, he won't show up as a summon for Centipede and will not travel to Izalith. You can go through Izalith the normal way to the bug, kill it, and then finally talk to Solaire in Anor Londo.

Looks like you can't kill the Chaos Bugs early, or at least before going to Anor Londo. Exploring the Demon Ruins, I saw this.[imgur.com] I know that past that area is a fog gate to Demon Firesage and the area where you can kill the Chaos Bugs, according to youtube recorings. I also know that the golden fog is there because I don't have the Lordvessel. Looks like I will need to get the Lordvessel first before I can save Solaire.
