Why is this game so addicting?

I've done like 5 playthroughs of this damn game on pc and like 1 on xbox 360s. I don't know why I can't stop playing! For the past few months, i've only played dark souls and a bit of skyrim.

Currently, i'm doing an archer build, and it's also fun and addicting.

It's gotten to the point where I will skip breakfast and lunch just to play dark souls. In fact, all I had today was some pasta and a few hershey kisses.

i feel you... the only reason why im so skinny is because of darksouls ( idk why its so addiciting ).... all i had today was a few chips with tabasco sauce

I like it because it lets me ruin other peoples playthroughs (invading). ANd it lets them ruin mine!

Just dont die from starvation. We dont want an article saying "Man dies from gaming addiction" the 90's tried more than enough to make videogames look like something evil, there was once a christian lecture saying pokemon are demons made by the devil.

I just really like the PvP aspect and the ways different covenants can interact with other players. The actual gameplay is good, but PvP is always interesting

Please skip DS2 and DS3, just keep playing DS1!
You might want to consider DeS on ps3 and BB on ps4, those are the only games in the franchise that give you the same atmosphere, while DS1 being the superior game, still.

Not to mention the modding community is becoming more and more active, creating more fun mods for us to play with.

It's addicting because it's a good game, which also has lots of replayability. Usually games have only one of these perks.

Don't listen to people telling you to skip DS2 and DS3. If you like DS1 so much, you should at least try the other ones. You might even like them more than DS1.

This. You should be the one to decide whether those two games are bad or not, not other people.

This guy know what hes talking about! Though I heard ds3 captures some of fun from ds1
