Does anyone else hate the Painted World
or am i just a scrub? I actually dislike it more than Blighttown so far.
1. You never knew it was coming. I just wanted to look at a painting :(
2. No way out without going all the way through. You can even waste your homeward bones if you want as soon as you drop it.
3. Toxic enemies that toxify you for KILLING THEM.
4. Generally unfun because it's confusing and everywhere looks the same. At least with Blighttown you could see all around and after a few trys you begin to understand the layout.
5. Toxic enemies that toxify you for killing them (using arrows aren't viable, at least in my build.)
6. You had literally no way of knowing it was coming and you have no way of backtracking.

1 and 6. Ok, this is fair
2. Well, you don't have to kill priscilla, making getting out easier.
3 and 5. backstab them, easy
4. no, it doesn't only the sewers and it's purely optional.

I hate Priscilla and I always dung pie her in the face until she dies. Painted world is awesome in my opinion.

As a "complete garbage" this fantastic community label me i can clean the level in 20 min max depends on rng and the skeletons are a pain. Try fire weapon if you have. Will make your chosen undead life easy.

painted world is easy :|

1.the doll hints at it the painted gaurdian stuff hints at it. super hard.

2. you don't have to fight the girl infact you get penalties if you kill her since she technically coutns as a friendly npc. so expect a visit from a blue moon.the only boss you have to fight is the undead dragon whos quite easy to cheese if you have a bow or magic on hand.

3. the toxic enemies have dumb ai since they are rats and the wreaches. what weapon are you using? you can easily avoid the toxic on deaht by rolling away also you should have plenty of moss stocked up by this point.

4. you must have hated most areas in the game then. blighttown is the exeption to not being confusing and being able to see enemies comming at you. and if you want to talk about everywhere looking the same. new londo after you drain the water.

5. thats the same as 3.... take my advice from 3. then use pyromancies they won't hurt your build at all in this game as they don't scale off any of your stats and do high damage.

6. exept for the backtracking thats every level unless you look it up.i dont think anyone saw sen's funhouse comming

everywhere looks the same? not really its just a small map.

umm just use a fire weapon to easily kill the toxic enemies without getting poisoned
1 and 6. It's a secret area. You're not supposed to know it's there until you happen upon it.

2.This I can agree with as minorly annoying, but since you spend most the game pre-Anor Londo walking everywhere, you should be used to it by now.

3 and 5. There are multiple ways to kill them and avoid the toxic. If you kill them with fire damage (charcoal resin, chaos weapons, pyromancy, even firebombs) they don't spatter the toxic blood everywhere.
Alternatively, you could backstab/riposte them and then take a step back to avoid the spatter.

4. Part of the fun is getting lost and exploring. :)

I personally think painted world is outright best area of the game. I heard it was one of the first levels build for testing gameplay. Not sure if its true - but Ariamis is really densely packed with many unique and fun encounters,/ This location, despite being small, is varied and has several levels inside.

I'd say its easier to hate Sens fortress. Mainly becose its pretty slow location, which somewhat brake pace of game(Through its not Shrine of Amana...)

Only part I hated in it was the lower parts with the stupid bonewheel jerkfaces.

I would move there immediately if Priscilla would let me stay, so yeah, one of the best areas in Dark Souls...going up that narrow pathway with the corpses on pointy sticks and hearing the snow crunching under your feet and the crows moan...goosebumps all the way...

Best mid-game soul farming spot. Hate it? Love it!
Other then wheel skeltons being the strongest enemy in the game.

Not really.

Do hate catcomobs thought as its a pain getting out unless you have the lordvessel.

Also not only can you use bows, but you could use black firebombs or crossbow (and of course magic).
