Poll to Decide the Best and Hardest Bosses in Soulsborne Series

I recently made some posts on the Soulsborne subreddits evaluating and analyzing each boss in the Soulsborne series. I placed them on a list and gave them ratings according to a system I created (if you want to see the original post, click on the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/darksouls/comments/65lb4y/ranking_all_soulsborne_bosses/ )


This post may contain spoiler from all games in the series and its respective DLC’s, so, proceed at your own expense.



This time I want to put all bosses to test and decide by popular vote the best one and the hardest one in the series. I made many straw poll links to make it easier for everyone to vote. I separated the polls by game so it will be decided the 5 finalist bosses (one for each game) and then there will be two polls that will decide the best and hardest boss in the entire series.



I ask you, if you have the time, to vote. It helps bring the community together to discuss certain subjects that appertain to most. It will only take a moment of your time. I allowed for multiple choices, but please I’d ask for you to only choose your top 5.



If I notice any cheating, the boss in question WILL be disqualified.


Note 1: Although in my original list I did not include Demon’s Souls as I have not played it, in this list all games will be included as it is a community choice rather than my personal analysis.


Note 2: After about a week I’ll have another post with the 5 finalists of each category and you’ll be able to vote again.


Note 3: In the post with the 5 finalists I’ll also include the bosses that received the lowest votes (the easiest and worst bosses).


Note 4: I disabled comments on the polls. If you want to discuss your opinions feel free to use this reddit post. Also, I had to break down Dark Souls II into two polls as it did not fit on just one.

Don't have time to take the poll now, but for hardest boss that's the best to fight out of every title: Orphan of Kos hands down. Emotionally charged, difficult, and a great send off to the series. That's just me though.

No problem not having time to do the poll, but if you get any later you can go and vote. The poll will be up for a week.

tbh I don't see how everyone says Nameless King is the "hardest" boss of them all. He really isn't. While he is pretty difficult, I didn't have as hard a time with him as I did with some of the other bosses in the series.

Same. I played against him so many times I could confidently tell people to stand back and let me solo him.

Same. I played against him so many times I could confidently tell people to stand back and let me solo him.

I'm actually pretty bad at the game and I still didn't have such a hard time with him as I did with everyone else. I do, however, really love the boss and the bossroom, it's a fun boss to fight.

Yeah, that was a little weird. I personally voted for some bosses not many people would think of for "best", but my ramifications are a little different, like what music played and how memorable it was.

Problem with hardest bosses in DSIII...

None of them took me more than 5 tries.

I misread the first poll, one vote for False King should go to Maiden Astraea.

Also, I guarantee False King is below Flamelurker for hardest boss because these scrubs can't cheese him with Firestorm.

You can abuse Flamelurker's AI in a few different ways with his boss room. Hiding behind bones, walking a certain way so you can get behind him undetected and get free damage on him, etc. False King Allant was both challenging and annoying to get back to if you died.

I actually made the poll for people to vote for their top 5 hardest/best bosses. Just read the post
