This game is pretty much void of any sexual thematics, so its all about the pixel violence. And even that is not particularly brutal in the game. If you are mature enough to differentiate between a video game and reality and know that hitting or shoting at anything living is a bad thing in the outside world, you'll be fine. The fact that you are even concerned enough to ask is a good sign.
this.
Pegi says 16 and they are right, now convince your parents why u think it won't hurt you - watch a gameplay of tutorial part together.
That said, it's not so much 'you must be 16 to play this game' but, how mature do you feel you are?
The game does deal with some kind of heavy topics, isolationism, depression, et cetera, but not that often, or even that overtly.
On top of all the violence.
If you think you are mentally sound enough to play this game, then go for it!
I let my 12 year old son play Dark Souls because I know he is a sharp, mentally sound kid.
There are some kids that are 14 or 15 that I would not let play Dark Souls because they're a bit off center and still need a lot of growing up.
But, it seems like if you're self-aware enough to ask if this is a game you should be playing, you're probably self-aware enough to play the game. I'd say go for it, just mention it to your parents first.
