how to i open my inventory?

i got this game an hour ago and the controlls are awkward.. i still dont know how to open my inventory

There´s a manual for the game (in your library right-click on the game, view manual); I´d recommend reading that first to get acquainted with the controls; it describes how to access the inventory and how to equip weapons, armor etc.

Yeah; I´ve just seen that the manual that comes with the game here on Steam only describes the keyboard controls; so it´s useless for someone with a controller. The wikis are a good way to learn about the controls (and a good source of information for starters in general)

It's weird that the game gives you notes on how to do most things using a controller, but you need the manual for keyboard commands.

Of course, most people seem to ignore those messages, so...

Get a controller button reskin from Nexus, it'll make things alot easier.

the start/menu button opens the menu, the menu is controlled with the d-pad, the bag is your inventory, the shield and cross swords is your equipment menu,
