Is the Golem Axe good ?

I have never used it and i just got a great axe to +10 im on my way to Anor Londo right now to make my way to the Giant black smith, im not sure what i should use the golems soul for

it can also make a str fist weapon but i read that its out dmg by the cestus :(

Is better the one that you has in my opinion, the golem axe isn't as fast as should be.

The Golem Axe has its uses.

As far as axes go it's the best pure Str one and one of the better ones overall. The 1h r2 is actually pretty useful at times but for the most part it's just a fun gimmick. 2h r2 is mostly useless.
Axes in general aren't great though, aside from the Hand Axe.

thanks guys, i just made it to the black smith attempting smough and dragon slayer what one should i kill first ? im a str build and i have a fairly high equip load right now basic fap ring and havels ring and i think my endurance is at 20 at the moment

Which ever ones stuff you want, kill the opposite. So like you want smoughs armor, kill Ornstein first.

Killing Smoug first will reward you with ring, which increases thrusting counter attacks. Works pretty well with pickaxe, or Halberd, or Lucerne, or any other thrusting weapons.

Yes. Even with weapons that technically don't deal thrust damage, like an Iaito, any attack that thrusts (like the Iaito running R1) can benefit from the Leo Ring.
