Increase Armour of Thorns damage?/Resistance useless?

I have kirk's full set, I deal about 35 damage on average, is there any way to increase this? PvP is pretty boring, I spend several minutes wearing through the host's estus.

Is resistance useless? It adds resistance to poisoning, I'm trying to imagine a build where high resistance would be useful, but everything else seems a bit more useful.

1. Power within and the red tearstone ring to increase damage, but I'm not sure if they affect thorn damage.

Resistance is as useful as pendant.

fun fact: while thorn armor staggers a zero poise foe this makes it actually harder to roll-stab-punish slow attacks since your roll interrupts the long attack with a short stagger

Only build where high resistance is useful is one where you toxicize with Dung Pies, poison with whatever, then try bleeding the guy or something.

Armor of thorns is useful to pressure people, and it can occassionally nullify backstabs if you roll as you're getting stuck. Oh, and it's flashy.

Does not effect thorns. I tired a good while ago. Felt sad afterwards.

The gloves add 10% damage to fist weapons if you're into that sorta thing.

another fun fact: resistance stat is just a weak stat that exists to balance the starting classes
