Can't decide between Ricard's Rapier or Balder Side Sword.

I'm making a Dex/Int build using curved swords buffed with CMW as my main weapon. I wanted a secondary weapon to make up for the lack of a poke and low range of curved swords. Any suggestions?

Ricards has a better scaling, but BSS, as a straight sword, has those wide attacks that can help you for crowd control. Also has more reach.

BSS is my favorite weapon, one of a kind.

Personally, I prefer BS due to it having more than just pokes.
I can't remember how quickly the durability went down for RR, although I imagine that it'll be very effective with leo's ring if all you're doing is poke.

Of course not, but if the build is Dex/Int oriented, the longsword will not help so much.

For a quality build, the longsword is a very reliable weapon that can be with you through all the game.

Go with the Balder Swag Sword. It looks cool, has great dex scaling, and it's thrust attack counter are, I think, better than RR with leo ring iirc

Since you're doing an INT build, you either want to have the sword at +15 normal so that you can buff it, or if you aren't planning on using Crystal Magic Weapon, make the sword a maxed out Enchanted upgrade.

IF you're gonna attune Crystal Magic Weapon and wield a reasonably high-stability, Ricard's Rapier.

Under other circumstances, or if you'll be going for split damage upgrade paths, Balder Swag Sword.
