Strength Weapons are boring
they are all ugly as ♥♥♥♥ and have the same moveset. Where is my sexy dragon bone smasher from demon souls and the FUGS and KUGS from DS2

Hell yeah my N-word.

Also, dex weapons are boring and spammy. Checkmate, dex scrubs.
I like small dex weapons that nobody usually uses like daggers and such.

I only had fun with knives in Dark Souls 3 I believe, it was very fun to dash around and poke peeps with a Hollow Bandit Knife.

I enjoyed Corvian Greatknife and Brigand Twindaggers, those were really fun to use and they're probably on my list of favorite weapons in the game.

Of course opinions are opinions but wow there is so much hate. With all due respect, you sound like someone having a drug comedown, everything is ugly, everything is bad....Don't like don't play

sorry if I dont lable this game as the perfect game ever like you DS1 purists, but I can complain about the lack of strength weapons if I want too. This game literally forced me to go dex, I never went dex in any of the other games.

it's funny because DS3 is much more dex based than this one since dex weapons seem to be the most viable

If it "forced you to go dex" then you aren't playing the game right dude.

Oh no I'm not a DS1 purist and it's far from being perfect. To be honest my favourite is DS2 because found it overall more fun.
1) what is wrong with dex? I am kind of happy that dex is so viable in this game compared to next titles
2) just because you don't like how strenght weapons look here doesn't make them bad. In fact they are pretty good. Hail Zweihander! Or Claymore....quality build right there

Quality weapons are way better than dex weapons in my opinion, on average.

There are several strength weapons I truly adore, Man-Serpent Greatsword in particular.

im sure the damage is great and all, Im just sick of the fact that they all have the samer r1 and most share an r2. Plus they all look kinda boring except the zwiehander. Mostly I just miss the diagonal slashes of the DBS that would send enemies flying or the huge damage the FUGS could put out in DS2 while still looking sweet.

But really, take your time to try out weapons properly and getting used to the moveset. When I started getting into Dark Souls I would end up having a favourite weapon based on damage how efficient it is. Eventually I accepted the fact that need to try out new weapons and started finding more interesting options.
And I really mean pick a weapon, play with it for half an hour until you more or less comfortable with it and can chain combos. If you just look at a weapon and stats or try out moveset once and then ditch...you gonna have a bad time.
I'm sure most of people will say that the "right" way to play Dark Souls is by picking a weapon you like and or are used to and sticking with it. It will be the most efficient.

I used to be pro dex because fast weapons blah blah. Hated strenght weapons because they are usually slow...now I am hooked on UGS and such. So things do change, just gotta keep an open mind. The game never had good graphics to begin with so you can't expect epic details on the weapons. And yet they manage to be epic

Demon's Souls is not Dark Souls. Let's just get that out of the way. When you come in to play Dark Souls, don't think you'll be finding similar weapons from Demon's Souls, just like you wouldn't with the other 2 Souls games. Enjoy it for what it is, and don't have a bar set based on a different game.

That way, you cna enjoy strength weapons with ease, because there are lots. And yes, they have the same movesets because it's a video game and weapons of one category tend to have the same attack patterns.

somehow it doesnt make sense that an older game has more variety in movesets

Actually, I'd say there was more emphasis on quality builds than Dex. There may have been more dex weapons this time around, but a lot of them were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
