That's my only grip with Demon Ruins' bosses; one is lazy reskin nr 2, and the other's a weird gimmick fight that occasionally randomly turns difficult for wrong reasons. But neither's really hard, to be honest. While most of the time the AI of the enemies is dreadful, it's weird to go into a game famous for its difficulty and complain if a certain boss utterly punishes your overly specialized tactic ("Full havel's with iron flesh on").
I'll just complain that the two areas are unfinished (Lost Izalith in particular) and I sincerely hope the rumours that From Software apologized for the Bed of Chaos are true.
They're definitely not hard just a bit unfair. I finished the fight just fine but it's "hard" for the wrong reasons. And what's wrong with "overly specialized tactics"? The options are there and im going to use them. Full havel's plus iron flesh is how I basically took a walk in the park where you get the large divine ember. I literally walked into a room full of giant skeletons, cast chaos firestorm, grabbed the ember and the other item and walked back out with maybe only 20% of my health chipped away.
Wat? A Fire enemy who's weak to fire? outrageous!
I already beat him I just have to beat centipede demon now with this character. Normally my character is wearing dusk's outfit but I kind of went down a different path with her (she's a darkwraith). Most of the time i have her using the darkwraith armor, dusk's crown, and the effigy shield. Can't fast roll in the darkwraith armor yet so maybe ill just thrown on dusk's outfit and try fighting centipede demon that way.
Weird fact, Gwyn The Lord of Cinder, is weak to fire.
And he do fire damage.
The game sometimes suggests to change your favorite tactic or borderline forces you to do it (i.e. if you depend on RoF&P and another ring, you may have trouble in Lost Izalith or against the Four Kings). You wouldn't go full havel's with Iron Flesh on walking through Sen's Fortress now, would you? Or is that actually enough to just walk through the swinging axes?
This thread just shows how terrible some people are at this game. Stop complaining just play the damn thing learn there move sets. This is like Monster Hunter memorization wins. Learn how to dodge properly and you won't have a problem with heavy armor not to mention the first boss of lost izalith is easy as hell just get behind him and he'll keep doing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ down slam explosion. He's easy as hell. And centipede demon well just have solar with you because praise the sun and he'll be easy. As for the daughter of chaos.
Good luck on that one.
When you dont own the Gold Tracer yet, try to use another weapon with a fast moveset. You will be better with any weapon, twohanded and rolling. You dont need to Tank the bosses, i did that mistake by myself at my first playtrough. Rolling and dps will help you!
