Just a reminder that all the bosses in Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith are stupid
I f*cking hate all of the bosses there. I'm fighting Demon Firesage in full havel's with iron flesh on but he keeps jumping backwards away from me like a little b*tch so I have to wait until it wears off and then still even when im constantly trying to stay close to him he keeps jumping away to try and get me with those stupid aoe attacks.

And then f*cking centipede demon, I dont want to die a million times rolling through his attacks that screw your camera up so you can't see your character so I just full havel tank it like usual. The problem is the f*cking boss literally did his jump attack four times in a row. What a stupid boss. From Software really didn't even try with this area and its bosses.

I would've had to fight Firesage with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Quelag furysword, had I not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a lucky ass Catch Pole drop from a random titanite demon. Also, I kinda like the Centipede demon, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ crammy and all.
I was going to make quelags fury sword but I went for the chaos blade instead. It was fun for awhile but it wasn't worth it to have as a main weapon, in boss fights the health chipped away was not worth it (which sucks because it feels amazing to use. It just feels like a proper end game weapon rather than some measly katana). I got two titanite catch poles on this character but I'm not a fan of halberd movesets in das1 (in das2 they're a little better imo). Centipede Demon is an awesome looking boss but the camera is horrible in that boss fight. Also it shouldn't be able to spam the same attack FOUR TIMES. They could have made it have a big range of attacks so fighting the boss might actually be fun/cool.

What's wrong with using Quelaag's Furysword on Demon Firesage? He's not even resistant to fire.

That's my only grip with Demon Ruins' bosses; one is lazy reskin nr 2, and the other's a weird gimmick fight that occasionally randomly turns difficult for wrong reasons. But neither's really hard, to be honest. While most of the time the AI of the enemies is dreadful, it's weird to go into a game famous for its difficulty and complain if a certain boss utterly punishes your overly specialized tactic ("Full havel's with iron flesh on").

I'll just complain that the two areas are unfinished (Lost Izalith in particular) and I sincerely hope the rumours that From Software apologized for the Bed of Chaos are true.

They're definitely not hard just a bit unfair. I finished the fight just fine but it's "hard" for the wrong reasons. And what's wrong with "overly specialized tactics"? The options are there and im going to use them. Full havel's plus iron flesh is how I basically took a walk in the park where you get the large divine ember. I literally walked into a room full of giant skeletons, cast chaos firestorm, grabbed the ember and the other item and walked back out with maybe only 20% of my health chipped away.

Wat? A Fire enemy who's weak to fire? outrageous!
Don't bother tanking through demon firesage. Just treat the demon firesage as you would the stray demon at very low levels. Also don't need to force yourself to tank every single hit you take. You're allowed to dodge. Iron flesh is personally useless unless you're doing four kings early.

I already beat him I just have to beat centipede demon now with this character. Normally my character is wearing dusk's outfit but I kind of went down a different path with her (she's a darkwraith). Most of the time i have her using the darkwraith armor, dusk's crown, and the effigy shield. Can't fast roll in the darkwraith armor yet so maybe ill just thrown on dusk's outfit and try fighting centipede demon that way.
I guess I underestimated my capabilities using light armor, lol. Wearing the full dusk set (effigy shield +10, dark sword +10 and flash sweat on most of the fight) I was able to cut off both tails(?) and beat him. I did have solaire in there but he was just a meat shield basically. Solaire sucks so much in that fight (besides being a distraction).

Weird fact, Gwyn The Lord of Cinder, is weak to fire.
And he do fire damage.
Well I mean, the guy has been utterly consumed by fire his entire life so it's only natural he'd be weak against it in some aspect. Also he kinda has a low health pool for a final boss, doesn't he?

The game sometimes suggests to change your favorite tactic or borderline forces you to do it (i.e. if you depend on RoF&P and another ring, you may have trouble in Lost Izalith or against the Four Kings). You wouldn't go full havel's with Iron Flesh on walking through Sen's Fortress now, would you? Or is that actually enough to just walk through the swinging axes?
Tanking Firesage, ha ha ha ha ha
Ahhhhh stop being such a ♥♥♥♥♥ and complaining about this ♥♥♥♥. The game is supposed to be hard you dumbass. Not to mention if you join the daughter of chaos all you have to do is give her 30 humanity and you can unlock a shortcut later in the game COMPLETELY SKIPPING THOSE GUYS.

This thread just shows how terrible some people are at this game. Stop complaining just play the damn thing learn there move sets. This is like Monster Hunter memorization wins. Learn how to dodge properly and you won't have a problem with heavy armor not to mention the first boss of lost izalith is easy as hell just get behind him and he'll keep doing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ down slam explosion. He's easy as hell. And centipede demon well just have solar with you because praise the sun and he'll be easy. As for the daughter of chaos.

Good luck on that one.
The only problem I had with Centipede was I got kicked out of my own game because of the low fps error.
For Real, that boss is easy tho, just use a Gold Tracer +5, and no heavy Armor/Shield. I still use this weapon in Ng+7, it has a nice bleeding and DPS, a very fast moveset and nice dmg. In combination with Power within you do heavy dmg. When he starts an attack, just roll away from him or if you cant time it, use a shield.when he does his amgic attacks roll away and go behind him and attack a few times.

When you dont own the Gold Tracer yet, try to use another weapon with a fast moveset. You will be better with any weapon, twohanded and rolling. You dont need to Tank the bosses, i did that mistake by myself at my first playtrough. Rolling and dps will help you!
