Parrying in this game is easy mode compared to 2 and 3.
Of course it is. I love that shield but if in an emergency you just need to block that shield might let your guard be broken if the enemy does a lot of poise damage.
Pretty sure you have to gain the Lordvessel to access Nito's domain, but in any case, you might as well reach at least SL 50 at min before obtaining Leeroy's gear. He uses Greatheal (I think) and I think that's about it. He also fatrolls, so I'd prioritize HP over quick rolls personally. He is a tank, after all.
Try looking it up on Mugenmonkey, it'll tell you how much END you need if you have fap ring equipped.
Damn that sucks. I think it's odd how much you need to fast roll in heavy armor sets in dark souls 1 (even without a weapon). Even though in dark souls 2 they seperated equip load into its own stat it seems easier there to be able to fast roll in heavy armor (without the royal soldiers ring and third dragon ring). It's tough to do a strength faith build because unless you don't mind fat rolling you have to level up so much endurance when that could be going into faith, attunement, or strength.
Well, I mean...nobody expects a knight wearing heavy ass iron armor to quickly roll.
