Difference between fire and chaos?

Whats the difference from going all fire reinforcing than chaso reinforcement?

fire damage is fixed to the equipment level. with chaos, the fire damage scales with the amount of humanity you have.

To be clear: Fire weapons are evenly split between physical and fire damage, and have a higher base than chaos. Chaos weapons lower the physical damage and fire damage base, but with 10 humanity the scaling increases the fire damage to significantly outperform fire weapons.

I think at 6 or more a +5 chaos outscales a +10 fire

Chaos in general is better than fire, assuming you're not worried about losing ten humanity every time you die.

Meaning if you have no humanity because you just died, you use a fire weapon, but if you have full humanity, you use chaos.

Just started my first attempt at shall we say "Big Father..." build with my chaos zweihander.
I appear to get 100 more AR with the 10 humanity at only +1 chaos.

Checking the old Attack Rating Calc as of right now with 16 str 10 dex (dont tell anyone i leveled that up) i will get 52 more AR out of the +5 chaos with 10 humanity than i would with the +10 Fire weapon.

If the Humanity is an issue with the gold serpent ring and 10 humanity you hit 410 item discovery and can farm up the rats in the depths for hard humanity very easy.

If you dont plan to hold that much soft humanity at all times or think you wont have it on you frequently enough I think fire is the better option for you.
