Parrying with shield makes it break?

I've been cursed 3 times and I used purging stone, but I have this one shield that always breaks with being used to parry. Is the weapon sheild cursed too? If so, how can I resolve it?

You cant parry with Havel's Shield. You might refer to Havel Greatshield's L2(default parry). It is a unique technique for that shield. It temporarily gives you infinite poise or something like that. But it uses up a big chunk of the durability. So use it wisely.

LOL well if its a troll nice one , if not then you cant parry with that :P its a special thing that shield has gives you more defence and yes will break if you use that special ability too much.

DUDE DONT PARRY WITH GREATHSHEILDS, Bad idea. Try using something smaller like a normal knight sheild, the one with colors

I did it in that order just in case parrying with Havel's Greatsheild isn't a thing. It looks like the dodged that one
