That's the thing about crystal weapons, they do some of the highest damage but they can't be repaired.

The only way to repair a crystal weapon is to upgrade it or change it's upgrade path.

You can't change the upgrade path (a crystal spear to a normal spear)
Example:
A crystal spear +2 with 00/40 durability can be "repaired" if you upgrade it to +3, the durability will go to 40/40.
But if you upgrade it to +5, you can't "repair" it anymore.

Pretty much, though honestly I've never used a crystal weapon. My only reason for using one would probably just be to get the crystal upgrade achievement.

Well boss or PvP, you know a +4 crystal is better than a +15, and titanite chunks are not hard to farm
