No that I know exactly. But why? You can get the key as soon as you get to firelink shrine and go get it.

You need master key, you go through valley of drakes to undead parish and there you go, fixed elevator from the beginning.

I was thinking more along the lines of glitching the jump to get to the stairs the first time around without having to open the door from the other side that needs the key

Again why? You don't need the ring before you can get to undead parish, unless you are trying to make a run.

I just wanted to know for the sake of not having to come back to the parish but i get it. i would have to come back anyway if i wanted to go to painted world.
I guess its more of an OCD thing for me.

just take the back path to undead parish through valley of the drakes, open the shortcut from firelink to undead parish. takes roughly 5-10min run and 0 killing required you literally just run past everything, get the shortcut open get the key, go back up the elevator and go back to undead aslyum, you'll have rusted ring within first 20min of your playthrough.

No i know I am already well past the part where i get the ring. i just wanted to know if there was a glitch way to get it

As far as I can tell, no. However you still don't need it until Blighttown Swamp so there shouldn't be a huge concern about getting it before fixing hte Firelink-Parish elevator.
