i'm bored of happy ends and love suprises like this
i really didn`t see it coming
I felt it was very confused. The protaganist yell's a speech about fighting for every moment of life and then turns around and commits suicide.
His commiting suicide makes sense for his own character arc but is hypocritical when juxtaposed with telling another person who has lost everyone to abandon him and keep living.
just watched the alternate ending (cause i know i`m not gonna play through nightmare mode) and i think it`s al lot more awesome than the normal ending! imagin you actually spend many hours with the protagonist of this game and in the end you find out hes is nothing less than a psychotic killer, proably driven mad by the guilt of killing his familiy while he survived...
About SPOILER:Him being a murderer.
Makes kinda no sense.Killing all people he met.
And anyways,I couldn't get it,why did he have a fear of water?
The alternate ending at least hasnt been done a thousand times, only a few hundred.
but hey, cheap game, short game, zombie game. can't really expect much
and
at least he has a fear of water. Look at Assassins creed, or Farcry 3 and you'll see tons of people who die the moment they hit H2O just like Wayne does, except they all happily fall into it
The game takes place over two days. It opens with Stella *knowing* that Randall killed her sister. He admits to it. He says he did it because she was bitten. The sister has bite marks. Then zombies attack and the group is separated.
So, the next day she sees him wearing her pendant and screams "what did you do?" (Huh? She's known for 48 hours that he shot her sister) "Why did you do it?" (Huh? She's known for 48 hours that her sister was bitten.)
What is it with these survivors and their memory lapses?
Anyway, I think a "realistic" assumption from Stella would be, "Oh Randall, you saved her pendant for me. Thank you!!!!" Because 99% of the time, that's what it would have meant. In which case, Stella going psycho and killing the person that just rescued her... would make her the psychopath of the story.
Thanks for this thread BTW. There's no chance I would have played nightmare and never guessed that an alternate ending existed.
