If you are using DS4 to Xlnput tool make sure you check "Hide DS4 controller".
I didn't use any program to run PS4 controller. I used it via bluetooth without any problem to play a lot of games. But Deadlight didn't work.
I solved the problem with the help of joy2key, so now I can use DS4 with Deadlight ^_^
Really? My controller doesn't work unless I use DS4 to Xinput :( I am running on Windows 8 and have a XBox360 installed but its D-pad sucks so I prefer PS4 controller. Sadly with a lot of games it doesn't work. Deadlight is one of very few games that it works perfectly.
Yes! You can follow this easy steps to use PS4 controller via bluetooth, without third-party software:
How To Pair PS4's DualShock 4 Controller With PC via Bluetooth[www.gamepur.com]
IMPORTANT: Don't forget to turn off the controller after your gaming session by holding down the Playstation button till the light bar shuts off. Otherwise you could be welcomed next time to a dead controller X.X

But if I press and hold down the PS button the controller doesn't turn off but Steam switches to big picture instead.
