New Trails game announced for Japan "Kai no Kiseki: Farewell O Zemuria" 2024

So, today Falcom announced the next game in their Trails franchise to be released in Japan and to the surprise of many fans its not "Kuro no Kiseki 3" but a new entry called
"Kai no Kiseki: Farewell, O Zemuria-"

Slated for a late 2024 release.

Any thoughts? I am quiet surprised that they did not go with Kuro 3 to be honest because there was quiet a few unresolved plot points from the first two games.

Im happy they announced it.
And some guys mentioned that Van will be the MC again. So its another Kuro game but with another name ;)
I hope it will be better than Kuro 2 with this +special+feature....must do the final chapter of Kuro 2 but i liked Kuro 1 more than part 2 till now bec. of that feature ;)

There really has not been any comfirmation about who the main character will be.
It sounds much more like another Reverie style "multiple protagonists" entry.
The story blob says something about " forces from the whole continent coming together, among them a young spriggan", so Vaan will definitely play a role but i suspect he will only be one of the multiple protagonists.
Personally i expect Rean ( he is just too popular), Vaan and a third new one.
There were screenshots of some girl with long black hair and red highlights that screamed "protagonist!" to me.
Would not be opposed to a female main again, its been ages since Estelle.

And why not? I LOVED Reverie so much. Best game in the whole series for me atm, but Kuro 1 was also very good.
Sadly Kuro 2 was not that good for me. That +feature+ ruined it for a bit. But still a good game.

Super late, but which "feature" are you referring to? Kuro II introduces a few. Is it the time travel?
