Hello, TheCasualWendigo here. Exciting to actually get my game on Steam, and I wanted to celebrate. While the game will not be releasing for a while, it is my job as the creator to let you know that I am doing something to further development. So, here is an exclusive sneak peek at what I'm working on. Please note that this is subject to change, especially as this was not optimized for the actual game engine.

Unfortunately I couldn't play this demo because the game softlocked as soon as I tried to interact with the NPC in my house. No text box appeared, and I could only keep walking around the house after pausing and unpausing.

Fun little concept but the demo is pretty buggy

First I want to reiterate that I do think this game is fun, I dig the retro vibe, makes me feel like when I played Pokemon Yellow for the first time all those years ago lol. That said, I did experience some problems. First, I can't actually sell anything. The shopkeeper asks me if I want to sell items and when I click 'yes', it doesn't bring up my inventory or any more dialogue or anything, and I have to pause and unpause the game in order to move again. Did I miss the objectives?

My experience is that I woke up, found out that I was discovered on the beach, and started slowly wandering the island. I got the pickaxe, axe, raft, and fishing rod, and NPCs were talking about how they were counting on my, and apparently I needed to cross the water, but I never picked up any quests or learned why people were counting on me. Did I miss an early NPC?...
