[SOLVED] Cannot play due to Securom error?
Apparently there is some windows 10 issue with securom DRM keeping the expansion from launching. Does anyone know a workaround?

Fixed it myself, feel free to ask anyone who needs help
how do you go about fixing it? i would like to play the dlcs but it keeps giving that securom error
allegedly its an issue requring a bios update but thats a hell of a solution. I found another workaround though. Message me.
How about posting it
Let me put on me eye patch here matey, you need a DRM free version of the .exe file. ARRRRR. It be something I'm less than eager to post on the steam discussion boards thar

Interesting. The game exe does have "launch analysis" in its context menu, which confirms the presence of Securom, but I can launch it fine in latest Windows 10 x64 (FCU). Securom itself is allowed by 10, only its disc-check driver is disabled. Digital should work fine, and does for me.

Proper fix would be figuring out why the game thinks it's retail instead of digital, no eye patches needed.
well this worked for me. The .exe versions i downloaded had no trouble launching the game. I tried securom removal and all other methods but found it was some conflict with certain motherboards and i7s
you know whats funny, my issue pretty much went away on its own. i didnt do anything to my computer or the game files to get it to work. I ran the dlc just to see if it would magically work, and both dlcs launched with no securorom issue. Maybe it was a recent windows 10 update that did it, idk.
Weird. Glad I was the only one who had to resort to being a scallywag just to play a game I'd bought
