I only play the original on PS2 a bit, and now playing this remake feels so diffrent but also feels nostalgic. The atmosphare is still the same, and I love it so much. They not only keep the original content, the remake also developed with so much better quality life.

one of my favorite games as a child and still my favorite game today

It's charming, true to the original, but that's sadly what makes this game fall flat for me. There's absolutely nothing in this game, it feels like. It feels sort of empty. The farm is small, so not much to do there. The mine is not a mine but a digsite with just a few patches of dirt to dig in daily. Even if I compared this game to some other story of seasons or harvest moon games, it just doesn't feel as lively as those games felt. I really hope, if Tree of tranquility ever gets a remake or animal paradise, it feels more alive and fun to play than this one.
I love farming sims and I love chill and relaxed gameplay and getting angry at rival heart events. I love when my crops finally grow nicely and buying myself a new building or upgrade an old one. I love getting to know villagers and their stories. I love getting my first animal and figuring out how to profit and take care of it.

Not in this game though. I'd love to play friends of mineral town, but I am kind of scared to buy that now, after this sad waste of 40€. I am trying to get a refund for this game as we speak and if I can't, I'll go cry in some corner about what could've been.

I played the OG growing up, and this is just as cute and easygoing. I miss some factors and movement on your horse can be odd. But, overall, I'm more than content!
